Trip to Rococo Gardens Painswick

IIn February members went on a coach trip to visit the Rococo Garden at Painswick to see the snowdrops in bloom. The Gardens were designed in the 1740s as a fanciful pleasure garden with magnificent views over the Cotswold countryside.

On the day of the trip we were blessed with fine sunny weather.  And, although the height of the snowdrop season was coming to an end, the daffodils, out in full bloom, provided a beautiful welcome replacement.

After purchasing plants in the garden’s nursery we moved on to Stroud for a late lunch.

We arrived home happy that the day proved to be a welcome interval in what had been a dreary wet winter.
