We are a friendly group of walkers who meet for a half day walk in the beautiful South Wales countryside.
We walk an average of 5 miles and cover a variety of terrains from the flat walking of the canal, to the slopes of local mountains, fields and woodland, so walking boots and waterproof clothing are essential. Follow the link to see the upcoming walks.
We have one short break on the walk so please bring a snack and a drink. Lifts can be provided for those without cars, with a small contribution towards petrol.

Important Information
Hello Walkers,
at this moment we have 60 members in the Group.
It is accepted by people within the group that this a very large number of members.
Our last walk numbered 31. As it was a straight forward walk and relatively flat terrain it didn’t pose any problems.
Some groups are happy with 10 - 20.
We have looked at various websites sites and have had some brief discussions with the U3A.
In an effort to make it safe and comfortable for all walk leaders we are proposing the following changes.
• It is with some regret that we are no longer going to accept any new members.
• Any new requests for our walking group will go on a waiting list.
• Any current walking group member that does not attend a walk within a term will be removed from the list.
• This means they will not receive any walk programme or walk details or photos of that walk and all future walks.
Whilst leaders make every effort to ensure safe passage for the group, walkers participate at their own risk.
NOTE: Liability cannot be accepted for any injury. There is no group insurance for Accident/Personal injury.
